Mom came home from work tonite and hugged me and Buddy very tight. Then she told us that our friend Silas had to go ahead to the Bridge to be with his brother Fergus, who went to the Bridge on January 12. The brothers were verry good friends and loved each other so much. Please visit Caturday and share a healing thought or purrayer with the beans and kitties left behind.
Mom says she doesn’t really understand why kitties have to die so young, but she likes this poem and this story about why beans choose tears. The Loving Ones
Fragile Circle
We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own,
live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,
never fully understanding the necessary plan.

Fly free with your brother Fergus, Silas. We will miss you.

*kitty nods* We'll miss Silas.
Thank you for your lovely post about our Silas. He was the sweetest, most good natured cat I have ever known and I am sure Fergus wanted to be with him again.
that last picture was my very favorite picture of Silas. Poor Zuleme and Olaf - so much loss in so short a time. - Meezers Mom

What a very touching tribute to them both. The quote itself is beautiful.
Thank you for posting this, a lovely tribute. We are all sharing the sadness about Silas.
Beautiful tribute to beautiful cretures. Well done.
So awful sad.......terrible to loose a furkid, he was such a doll......
I was stunned and shocked when I read that Silas was gone. To lose both of their boys in just over three months. I don't think I could take that kind of heartache.
That's so sad. ~Merlin, Shadow, Ko Ko
